Mgr. Ivana Slivková, PhD.: K dvom básnickým zbierkam Eleny Chomovej-Hriňovej

Аbstract

The work of Elena Chomová-Hriňová as a contemporary Ruthenian author raises several stimulating questions that help to understand the Ruthenian cultural identity. The article characterizes the author’s two poetry collections, Ujackými drážkami (2020) and Pod skalou rastú šípky (2021). Typologically, it is a traditional Ruthenian natural and reflective poetry enclosed in the environment of the village and the surrounding nature. The creation of the poet is based on the harmony of the human being with the environment in which he lives. Natural motives are glorified against the background of relationships, deep family ties – especially with the immediate family (parents, children, uncles, aunts, etc.), which the poet of. i. creates a picture of cohesion as one of the priorities of the Ruthenian cultural environment. The question of cultural integration and efforts to aesthetically emancipate literary work in Chomová-Hriňová does not bring a new original view, but it certainly resonates and, despite relatively simple and straightforward confessions, her poems nostalgically and authentically bear the depth of the survivor.
